Companionship
The main goal of the End-of-Life Doula is to be a companion to the dying and their loved ones. We are a supportive presence to hold space for the dying person and their loved ones in order to decrease as much stress as possible during this time.
Planning the Vigil
The creation of a vigil plan allows the dying person the autonomy to make choices specifically about how they want to be honoured during the last days and moments of their life.

The Grief Journey
Grief manifests itself differently for each individual, though at its core, it is a blend of feelings, memories and sensations that shift and mix. An End-of-Life Doula has a central role in supporting individuals through the early stages of grief.
